Hello again, At Ohio State the Instructional Design and Technology Department does not have a required reading list....though our professors tell us the scholls they went to did. They suggest that we be "well read" in the area, but one never know's who read "well read" is. Much of our program is centered around Gagne and his principles of learning any other single person is probably an influence of the particular faculty you take mmost of your classes from. For those of you who have required reading lists, or suggested reading lists, would you post some of the more interesting authors/books/articles you have read? If you don't have a special reading list but have a favorite "guru" I'd be interested in sharing that as well. I will forward all listings to the IDT Student Council so they can share it with there members here at Ohio State. Thanks, Tony Frisby Frisby-t@osu-20.ircc.ohio-state.edu

The Stanford I.E.T. program had a number of required readings. A few of them are listed below. Unfortunately, the I.E.T. program was eliminated a few years ago - it died for lack of support... Intelligent Tutoring Systems, ed. D.Sleeman and J.S.Brown, A.P., 1982. Classroom Computers and Cognitive Science, ed. A.C.Wilkinson, A.P., 1983. Instructional Software, Decker Walker. ---- -Dave Erickson
