[comp.edu] Comments on new Kelley and Pohl /A Book on C/...

jsulliva@cvbnet.UUCP (Jeff Sullivan, x4096 MS 4-2) (03/07/90)

As an on-going student and professional C programmer, I think
it's important to use a book that will be useful after the class
is over. In one of my C classes, I used K&R and Harbison & Steele.
Both have remained within arm's reach throughout my professional
career. By my PC at home I have the Turbo C Bible (and when I buy
 a new copy) Kochan's ANSI C. I have Plum's book (required for a
C class), but have not found it very useful.
