(Please pardon the reposting of this request. I did not receive enough response to its original posting to comp.mail.misc.) At Emory University we are looking to move beyond the usual electronic mail interfaces available via login as a timesharing user on UNIX, VMS and VM (PROFS and BITNET MAIL) and provide a campus-wide e-mail service that includes storage for mailboxes, store-and-forward routing, gateways, and can be accessed from local area networks by workstations (such as Macintoshs, PCs and Suns) using friendly interfaces that provide easy exchange of email with recipients whether their mail system is on or off-campus. As part of the effort, we want to know what others are doing, and would appreciate hearing from anyone who is actively working on something similar or is putting something like this in place or already has it.
