[comp.edu] video tapes for pc software

slimick@unix.cis.pitt.edu (John C Slimick) (07/06/90)

This fall I would like to expand our business
microcomputing course through the use of
short video tapes acting as introductions to
each of the main areas in the course:
	MS/DOS
	LOTUS 1-2-3 (2.0)
	dBASE III +
	Wordperfect 4.2

The preferred mode of operation would be to
take 30 or 40 minutes at the first meeting of
the new area to show the tape that is an overview
of what each of these packages does. I believe that
this should help place the package in its
context and ease the "but I don't know what it
is we are trying to do" lines from some of the students.

I would appreciate any information you could provide on
such tapes. Of course, since we are an academic institution,
price is important; a good price range would be $50-$75
for each package.
