cbishop@zeus.dnet.ge.com (Chuck Bishop) (08/08/90)

I may be teaching MSDOS to entry level students at the local tech school.

For the course, I need a good text book. does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, is there anyone out their who has done this and is willing to give a
few pointers?

Dear Chuck:

The Waite Group Books are the best that I have seen. They have Waite Group
books on MS-DOS and UNIX as well as on C. Pascal, Basic, Etc. These books are
published by Howard W. Sams and Company. Go to your local computer store
and take a look at these books. They start at the beginning and work there
way up. Very readable.

I have taught MS-DOS and BASIC for years. The most difficult part is trying
to explain BASIC commands and MS-DOS commands. My students constantly got
the two mixed up. I hope this helps. Good luck and take care.

Sorry about my LONG end-message but I like it!!
