[comp.edu] Request for gradebook software

We are considering replacing the gradebook packages supported by the
Academic Computing Center, and we are looking for suggestions.  The
operating systems we want to use them on are UNIX and IBM's VM/XA
CMS.  A gradebook package for MS-DOS would be welcome, too.  We would
like a program that would do these things:

     Compute weighted averages;

     Not insist that grades be based on 100 points (for example,
     it should allow 23/25 instead of making a human calculate
     that 23/25 = 92/100);

     Produce a formatted gradebook to be printed;

     Produce a histogram of grades.
