[comp.edu] switching theory book for grad students?

jlaw@groucho (09/11/90)

I am going to be teaching a graduate course in switching and
finite automata theory next semester for an electrical engineering
curriculum and would appreciate any pointers to good texts.

I am familiar with the text by Kohavi but consider that to be
oriented more towards the undergraduate.

A list of possible topics might include:

finite state automata
functional decomposition
threshold logic
synchronous and asynchronous sequential design
sequential circuit decomposition
fault detection/diagnosis in combinatorial and sequential circuits

Please respond by e-mail. Thanks!
