Without meaning to start any religious wars: What programming languages are being used out there in introductory courses? We (U of Waikato, NZ) have been using Pascal in all of living memory and are moving to Modula-2 for next year. Rumour has it that one, possibly two other universities here are taking the same line, and I'm wondering what the larger trends are. Is anyone out there using Ada? Any of the OOP languages?
