[comp.edu] WANTED: F77 textbook for 1st undergraduate CS course

rgonzal@elbereth.rutgers.edu (Saul) (11/06/90)

I'm sorry if this is a frequently-asked question:

Can anyone recommend a Fortran 77 textbook which is appropriate for
first-semester computer science undergraduates? (Yes, we're STILL
using F77 for this class - no flames please!)

That is, it should be clear and concise, at a very introductory level
including perhaps a discussion on general computer workings.

Thanks!

Since when? I just graduated with a BA in CS from Rutgers in may, and
the only time that Fortran was used was in 323 - Numerical Analysis.
