[comp.edu] Summary - a first text for a compiler course

peterd@opus.cs.mcgill.ca (Peter Deutsch) (11/10/90)

I'm just writing to thank those who responded to my
posting on choosing a first compiler text and to summarize
the results. I received half a dozen comments, and from
what I gather The text by Aho, Sethi and Ullman (Compilers
- Principles, Techniques and Tools) seems to still be the
preferred text. Thanks again to those who responded.

manage to get _two_ copies of their signature in their articles?"
