The first contest of the 1990-91 American Computer Science League's season has been completed, and the top schools in each of ACSL's divisions are listed below. About 400 secondary schools nationwide and in Canada are particpating in the monthly contests this year. For the curious: A team score is the sum of the top 5 students at the school. Contests are divided into two parts: a programming problem, and short problems that cover various topics in computer science. For example, in the Senior and Intermediate Divisions, the short problem topics for Contest #1 were Computer Number Systems and Recursive Functions. Each part is worth 5 points, so the maximum team score is 50: 5 students * 10 max pts/students.
