THE QUESTION: What major universities are involved in CAI? Which ones have CAI research projects in which I could get involved *and* have high-caliber computer science programs? BACKGROUND: Through a few personal projects, I have become increasingly interested in CAI. I have an M.S. in mechanical engineering from MIT (9/85). I would like to go back to school to get a computer science M.S. degree and to work on CAI. My interests in educational subject matter are not restricted to mechanical engineering, but also encompass science, math, and foreign languages. Geographically, I would prefer that the school be in the eastern half of the U.S. Thanks to those who can help me out! -- D.
