[comp.edu] Think C/C++ Programming Guide binary ready

rgonzal@elbereth.rutgers.edu (Ralph Gonzalez) (04/02/91)

Just a reminder, the Think C Programming Guide HyperCard (1.2 or 2.0)
stack for Macintosh computers is now available in binary form in the
newsgroup 'comp.binaries.mac'. A brief description follows:

-------------------------------------
The Think C Programming Guide is a HyperCard stack which teaches how to
use Symantec Corp.'s object-oriented Think C compiler. It also serves
as an introduction to the basic features of the C++ language. It
contains examples which may be pasted directly into source files for
compilation. It does NOT assume C programming experience. It does NOT
cover Macintosh programming per se, nor how to use the Think Class
Library.

The Guide comes with two free libraries of Think C/C++ compatible files.
One library contains classes for creating 3D graphics and animations.
This presently supports portability from the Macintosh to IBM PC
computers (the latter using Turbo C++). The other library is for
experimenting with changeable textual user interfaces, and works on any
computer with a suitable compiler.

The TCPG is shareware ($15) by Ralph Gonzalez.
