I am looking for user's experiences with the Thomson-MOSTEK 68590 LANCE Ethernet controller chip. Many designs use the Intel 82586, but I would like to interface to a 68000. Device driver? Good things, bad things, comparisons ? .......BJ mtgzz!bjh

Good things, bad things, comparisons ? I believe the Sun Microsystems 3/50 (a 68020 box) uses a Lance Ethernet chip. We have many 3/50s here, and the chip seems to be quite reliable. dpz -- David P.
