Hi,
I am looking into MAC (Media Access Control?) Level Bridges for connecting
Ethernets. I have a need to allow multiple protocols pass through a bridge
(i.e. TPC/IP, DECNET, XNS, ...) which hopefully will at least filter out
packets destined to the local Ethernet.
I am told that MAC level bridges will do this ... however I am new to the
game and am looking to the net for advice, recommendations, and education.
Thanks,
John D. Hays, Consultant
P.S. I rarely see summaries of responses so will not guarentee the same,
however if I get many private messages I will try to summarize.
