HI, Some time ago I tried to use a BRIDGE CS200 terminal server to connect a printer with. I managed to make a printcap entry, where a connection is made to the printer over the network. This seems ok, but sometimes I lose the last piece of a file. For the same file every time the same piece is lost. Could have to do something with my litle program, although when I used something like: cat file | telnet printer, the same kind of problem happened. Now I'm curious if someone out there spotted the same problem. I tried to end all files with a lot of NULL's (2 k and even 8 k) but in some cases the problem came back. It seems that the problem could happen because of not flushing a buffer inside the CS200, but the 8 k of NULL's should solve this. So perhaps it is a bug in this server not handling the protocol correct. Is there anybody who can give some help? Some more information: w're running SUN OS 3.2 on a 3/50 to test this. I've tried many CS200 port settings (but not all ?) It happend to several printers (or a terminal) I've used different CS200's thanks, ron -- Ron Werther PA3DSO | /~~~/ /~~~ /~~~ Advanced Silicon Corporation | / / / * / NIJMEGEN, THE NETHERLANDS | /~~~/ ~~~/ / tel. +3180719651 | / / / / / ..!mcvax!asic001!ron | / / ___/ / /___.
