I am trying to find a gateway from usnet to the "SPAN" network. Calls to the "SPAN" project coordinator have gone unanswered. Lacking much understanding of who or what SPAN is (other than I need a stable mail route to a VAX on SPAN), I appeal to the net. Thanks in advance, will summarize if there is an answer. Dale

SPAN is the DECNET Network used by NASA. There is a Internet to SPAN gateway. I think the name is STAR on the DECNET side. -Ron

Try user%foo.SPAN@jpl-vlsi.ARPA [aka] user%foo.SPAN@vlsi.JPL.NASA.GOV. I think the folks over there have figured out how to get mail routing between the two nets working ...
