The Bridge CS/1-SNA will not allow you to define new terminals.
The sysgen menu does allow you to select, for each virtual circuit,
one of 17 pre-defined terminals or just display a terminal menu and
let the user select. Keyboard mapping is two things. The sysgen
menu has changed from asking you to select a character set of a
particular country or language to providing EBCDIC/ASCII and
ASCII/EBCDIC translation tables you can tailor to your needs. In
addition to this, my company modified the telnet command to make
use of an external (to the CS/1-SNA) keymap file. This was
accomplished with assistance from Bridge Communications. Our
CS/1-SNA is sysgen'ed to always appear as a VT100 terminal. Since
my company makes its own keyboards, we customize the keymap file to
map our keyboards to the VT100. This is working great.
