Has anyone else seen the situation where a DEC Lanbridge 100's forwarding database seems to get messed up? The symptom is that users on one side of the bridge can initiate a telnet connection to a remote host (the bridge learns the forwarding for both hosts) but the reverse fails (once the given forwading entry has timed out). In other words, the bridge seems to learn only from one side. The only things I have been able to correlate this with so far is that the bridges that this happens to are running the newer DEBET ROM version: Bridge Characteristics as of 4-MAY-1988 19:26:08 Bridge PSYCH, Address 08-00-2B-08-53-B6 Bridge id (priority/address): 128/08-00-2B-08-53-B6 Bridge type (executing): DEBET Firmware version (executing): 2.0 Forwarding entries - It is only our newer 2.0 bridges that seem to be losing their minds. Has anyone else seen this or know if DEC has come out with some ECO for the 2.0 bridge? /a
