[comp.dcom.lans] SU-PC/IP on IBM Model 30s?

ugogan@ecsvax.uncecs.edu (Jim Gogan) (08/04/88)

Has anyone had any success with running Stanford's PC/IP
(version 3.0) on an IBM PS/2 Model 30 (non-micro channel)
with either a 3Com 3c501 or a 3c503 card? No matter
which card, which settings, and which Model 30 we use,
once the TCPIP.EXE memory resident routine is loaded, the
floppy drives produce read errors no matter what disk, what
file you try to read. If you reboot & don't load the
TCPIP.EXE file, the disks read fine!
The same machines with the same cards (actually, with the
3c501) work fine with IBM's TCP/IP and with NCSA Telnet.
Anyone got any suggestions??
