[comp.dcom.lans] T3

I am gathering information on T3 based wide-area networking. We
are working on building a high-speed research network for
distributed computation and would like to experiment using T3s.
I am even interested in those solutions that split the T3 into
T1s and then load share across them.

	Thanks, Kurt

About all you are going to get is the solution of hacking T3's
into T1's. I don't find that all that interesting. We've been
bridging Ethernet and SNA all over New Jersey on T1s.

One interesting thing is a thing that NYNEX and people at BellCor
have been working on. They have published it in:

	Technical Advisory TA-TSY-000772
Metropolitan Area Network Generic Framework System
Requirements In Support Of Switched Mutli-megabit Digital
	Service.

Looks good if they can convince people to do it.

Infotron Systems is talking about some T3 gear. An address I have for them
is:

9 N Olney Ave
Cherry Hill Industrial Center
Cherry Hill, NJ 08003-1688
609/424-9400

I don't know anything about the gear, but it may be a good starting point.
