Currently in our Marketing and Sales department we have 2 Integrated
Solutions Inc Optimum V Model 24 (ISI V24) netted together via
thin Ethernet (TCP/IP supported). Both are running ISI's dual
port BSD4.3 and SYSV.3 as well as NFS and TRFS.
We have a requirement to add three MAC II's to the net and provide
them with transparent file transfer and access to remote peripheral
devices. Since the file sizes will be very large (> 350k) the serial
solutions (UShare from IPT) will not be adequate. We DO NOT want to use
AUX on the MACs (even though this would give us NFS).
Does anyone out there have any experience with networking MACs together
with the ISIs or know of any products which could help us. Some
possibilities include TOPS (not yet available on the ISI) and Officeworks
from NBI. Please e-mail me any suggestions.
