In the near(?) future we will be moving our department to a new building that is pre-wired with gobs of twisted pair cable. We are currently considering using a TCL model 2110B-TP16 with 2016-TP transceivers to connect our thick-net ethernet with three unix systems and a gateway to a large building backbone to several systems including PC's, Mac's, Apollo's, and a few small unix workstations. The PC's currently have 3COM ethernet cards in them, the Macs will soon have a Kinetics Fastpath, and the Unix systems all have standard 802.3 ethernet interfaces. I would like to know if anybody has any comments on the TCL equipment or suggestions on a better way to do this. You may mail any responses to me and if there is enough response I will post a summary to the net. Thanks Troy Monaghen
