We are looking for some information on what, if anything, is available in the way of software measurement tools for an evaluation project on a network software package. We have a network which is a real mixed bag. We have Unix, Xenix, MS-DOS and a few other assorted systems all on the same network. We are aware that some network hardware monitors exist, but what we are more interested in is information on software tools, if they exist, to measure performance on the network. Loading or slowing down the network is not a problem. We are working in an isolated laboratory environment. I hope this will give some of you enough information to reply. At present I do not know enough about what we want to do to be more specific. I also apologize if I am dredging up an old topic. I have been off the net for about six months and am completely new to this group. Please reply by email. If anyone else is interested, send me email and I'll summarize. If enough interest, of course, I summarize to the net. Thanks Mark O'Shea SDA
