[comp.dcom.lans] WD8003 & Novell?

mike@quench.lbl.gov (Michael Helm) (12/07/88)

Does anyone know if the WD8003 card will work with Novell Netware?
I'm new to the Novell system & I may have overlooked mention of it...
but it seems to be missing from the configuration program.

If it is not yet supported, are there any plans to do so in the future?

Thanks,
Michael Helm (Internet M_Helm@lbl.gov)

Yes, the WD8003E/S cards work with Novell. Novell reported they were the
highest performance cards for their software on the market. At WD we recommend
the Novell software for some of our in-house users (Vianet and PC/IP are
the other supported choices).

When you order your WD8003 card, ask your vendor for a copy
of the Western Digital "SuperDisk" drivers disk. That
includes all drivers you need to use that card in servers
or workstations under Novell NetWare 2.0 or 2.1x.
