You do not need to abandon your hopes of using a thin-wire ethernet
just because one or two stations require a transceiver. Cabletron
has a transceiver that has BNC connectors on either side. I am sure
it is an option from some other suppliers as well. Everything else
can just connect to their on-board transceivers via the T-connector.
