This is to announce the formation of a mailing list for people interested in the Cayman GatorBox. You're invited to join. For those who don't know, a GatorBox is a gateway between AppleShare and NFS. It works with Macintoshes on both LocalTalk and EtherTalk, allowing them to use files served by NFS servers. It also emulates a Kinetics FastPath, so it works with KIP, CAP, and MAC-IP. It costs about $3,000. There are no per-node licensing charges. It's a fun little box. I offer this mailing list as a place to discuss performance, features, misfeatures, bugs, configuration, troubleshooting, competing products, and anything else of interest to GatorBox users. I'm not affiliated with Cayman (nor am I a competitor), so there's no possibility of any conflict of interest.
