[comp.dcom.lans] Looking for PC LAN problem stories

dbuerger@cup.portal.com (David J Buerger) (02/16/89)

Every month or so, InfoWorld writes a story about someone
with a LAN problem. We talk to the network administrator,
get a history of the LAN, its configuration, etc. We select
an interesting problem the company is having with the LAN and
give it to two or three consultants. We get their solutions
to the company's problem, and give them to the LAN administrator.
The administrator tells us which solution they will most likely
use and why. We write a story about the whole thing and print
it in our Network Target Edition.

Everybody benefits. The LAN administrator gets free advice
from specialists he/she might not have otherwise contacted.
The consultants get free exposure in InfoWorld. InfoWorld's
readers get to share the expertise.

If you would like to share your LAN problems with a few
consultants and 65,000 InfoWorld readers who get this
Target Edition (or know someone who would like to participate),
please contact Rafe Needleman or Becky Furtado at the address below.
If you are a consultant interested in participating, please respond
by mail.
