[comp.dcom.lans] LOCUS PC Interface problem

nemo@altger.UUCP (Paolo Bevilacqua) (02/17/89)

We have installed on our Bell-Tech Unix 3.0 Sys V/386 the
tcp-ip support by Excelan with 205 Tboard and the PC Interface
by Locus.
Our DOS Workstation must use the wd 8003 S Ethernet board
running the aposite module by Locus.
We can't establish any connection between the pc and the host.
Using a protocol analyzer the host send broadcast OK, but the PC
send only incoherent packets missing also Ethernet physical addresses
Locus have sent us an additional disk for the support of the
wd 8003 S with two files :
-wd8003.sys
-wd8003.eth
We have tried these in the config.sys file in conjunction with
bridge.sys or bridge.ip
and nothing seems to work.
The documentation about use of these files is not of help
because as usual miss important points.
I can exclude any hardware and/or hardware setting problems
and i hope someone with experience on this can help me.
Any suggest will be greatly appreciated, thx in advance.
