Anyone with 3com Ethernet and/or Netbios on a PC based network that is interested in a conference program send me mail. I've written one today and I rather like it. It allows any number of users to conference with two windows for output. One for the user and one for everyone else. You can change names, run a dos shell, page someone, or send a private message (with a particular tsr installed). Due to the 30+ requests I've had for the conference program
for NetBIOS I've written, I'm going to be making it available
via 'ftp' in a few days. I have one more thing to do before
it will be available. But in the meantime here is the quicky
'readme' file that is included with the distribution.

Conference is a very quick and simple hack; actually an extenstion
of something else I'm working on at the moment. I'll let everyone
know of this in the near future.
Conference is very simple to use and very simple to break I suppose
but it serves its purpose well. It should work on anything that
runs NetBIOS. No error checking is currently done to make sure that
NetBIOS is installed so if it isn't I suspect that the machine you
are running on will crash. NOTE: This is version 1.0 and future
releases will be made until I tire of it.
Conference's ability to 'send' and 'page' is limited to having to
have a certain TSR installed called RECMESG.EXE and also SEND.EXE
(not a TSR). Both of these can be gotten at the same place you have
gotten Conference via ftp (xanth.cs.odu.edu).
Only the source code to Conference is going to be available at this
time. RECMESG.EXE and SEND.EXE are currently being rewritten and
will be put up for ftp once finished.
Any suggestions or comments would be greatly appreciated.

Conf usage:
Conf [name <user>]
Once in conf type ':' to get into command mode then type '?' or 'help'
for help. 'help <command>' for help on a specific command.

RecMesg usage:
RecMesg [user <user> | on | off | restore | version]
TSR, must be run before 'Conf' or 'Send' will work.

Send [<user> <message>]
Or just type send for fullscreen send.
