All right, here's a good question for all of you people out there in lan world. My shop is looking for/ willing to work with/ interested in hearing about/ in desperate need of/ about ready to do almost anything to get information and possibly the sources for the redirector portion of PC based NFS. The problem as my hackers tell me is this. Apple has the sources but MICROSOFT wrote the redirector portion of AppleShare/PC. They're more than willing to help but the cost associated with that little redirector question makes the cost $100+ per CPU. For our school, this begins to run into a large sum of money. I think CMU started to work on it at the driver level, but ???? That's the last that we heard. I've heard quiet rumors that others are working on it. Our needs are AppleTalk, Token Ring, and EtherNet based. Again, my hackers tell me that if they get one working, the others will fall into place very quickly. Any help would be appreciated. ...bill van beek tippy!wvanbeek@newton.physics.purdue.edu Krannert School of Management wvanbeek@purccvm Purdue University wvanbeek@vm.cc.purdue.edu (317) 494-7956
