The company I work for has an extensive Ethernet that is getting larger all the time. At the moment, there are over 500 PC's 18 Novell file servers, and a VAX 8810 on the network. Several Tandem and Perkin Elmer minis are about to joined to the network along with an IBM 4341. TCP/IP is the protocol of choice for inter-machine communication. So far so good. I have been tasked to add a Wang 7310 VS system to this network. Wang has been less than fully co-operative with the TCP/IP end of the deal. We have the Wang on the Ethernet with WSN running. Does anyone have any Wang TCP/IP experience? One of the main problem areas deals with the Ethernet card to go into the PC to allow the PC to talk to the network. If we put in the Micom-Interlan NI-5210 card, the PC can talk to the Novell, and VAX machines but not the Wang. If we put in a WLOC card, the PC can talk to the Wang but not Novell or the VAX. Both cards can not co-exist in a PC. Any suggestions? PLEASE: No flames about our choice of Wang. I didn't make it, many of us do not like it but we need it. Thanks in advance for your help. -- Jerry DiGennaro digennar@umbc3.umbc.edu (301) 266-4150
