Where can I get info on FDDI specifications? I know very little about fiber, but wish to educate myself. In particular, I am interested in current Ethernet over fiber, and the issues of connecting multiple Ethernets together with fiber. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Douglas Neuhauser Div. of Geological and Planetary Sciences doug@seismo.gps.caltech.edu California Institute of Technology 818-356-3993 MS 252-21, Pasadena, CA 91125

Mansfield, MA 02048 (617) 821-7448 There is currently a specification for a Fiber Optic Inter Repeater Link (FOIRL). Drafts for a 10BASE-F are under development. This effort is not related to FDDI except that they both operate over fiber. Pat Thaler
