I'd like to get some feedback c/comments/etc. re:
the use of 22 AWG vs. 24 AWG unshielded twisted pair
wiring for data comm. - specifically for UTP Ethernet
and LocalTalk.
Also, anyone running both UTP Ethernet and LocalTalk
over the same bundles? Any problems with crosstalk?
Thanks in advance.

I did a *very brief* test (about 10 minutes) of AT&T's StarLan-10 product sharing a 3-pair unshielded sheath with Farallon's PhoneNet (the PhoneNet pair was going directly into a StarController). I was able to send data over both systems simultaneously with no apparent trouble, though I didn't get a chance to check with our Sniffer to see if there were any retransmissions (and now the AT&T stuff has gone away . . .). - RL "Bob" Morgan Networking Systems Stanford

So far, we've never seen any problems with crosstalk or interference between
Ethernet & PhoneNET in the same sheath in our tests here, nor have we
received reports of such problems from the field.
Nor, judging from our specs, do we ever expect to see any. Noise immunity
on the PhoneNET side is > 600 volts.
