Hey Lan Folks, I have a few questions about connecting a Novell LAN (2.15) to a UNIX machine. First, I would like to be able to run DOS and UNIX sessions at the same time, or at least be able to hotkey beween sessions. Ok. With my pipedream out of the way, what is possible in terms of connecting Novell and UNIX? Can I share files or have the UNIX machine look like a file server? I am currently running a number of Novell 2.15 servers (386 clones) using Arcnet cabling and boards. The UNIX machines include a handfull of Plexus P60's running System V and System 3 (arrgh!), a P95 running System V and a new Pyramid 9825 (just delivered and still in the box). I know that the UNIX machines are partial to ethernet and most folks seem to run TCP/IP. Is there any compatibility between Novell's IPX and TCP/IP. Also, is there any hope of setting up a bridge between our arcnet LAN (running IPX) and ethernet (the UNIX machines runing TCP/IP or ???). Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please Email responses and if there is interest I will post a summary. gary -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Gary Manning QMA Inc. |"A mind is a terrible thing" | |{csusac,sactoh0}!utgard!gary |All comments are mine...Blah Blah Blah| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
