What are my options for connecting a 30-station PC ethernet in Atlanta with a 5-station PC ethernet in San Antonio? Do dial-up interface units exist, or would I need a leased line? Anyone have a rough guess as to the cost of a remote link unit? What kind of speed can I expect over such a link? Any and all help/suggestions are GREATLY appreciated. matt Matthew Reedy UUCP: gatech!petro!iquery!matt Programmed Intelligence Corp. 400 N Loop 1604 E, Suite 330 San Antonio, TX 78232 (512) 490 6684 Fax: (512) 490-3590

Do dial-up interface units exist, In order to have to lans (remotely) connect, you will need to employ some form of communications bridge. You can use a variety of connection methods, such as X.25, T1 or satellite link, depending on your need for speed and the budget requirements. One company that I am familiar with do offer good products to accomplish this - Eicon Technologies of Ottawa, Ont. Canada. In order to be more specific, I would need to know what software you are using on the Lans. -- "There's nothing worse than a confirmed fanatic!" UUCP Mail: !uunet!ubc-cs!calgary!clroslyn!clleth!grant
