Around 9 - 10 months ago there was a lengthy discussion about Digital LanBridge 100 units which "learned" the Ethernet Broadcast address. (The situation as I remember the discussion was that a PC under some conditions managed to broadcast to the Ethernet with a source address of all 1's, and the bridges then learned that the broadcast address was "sited" on one side of the bridge and refused to pass on broadcasts thereafter.) Digital released an FCO to prevent learning the broadcast address as a new version of the LanBridge micro code. Does anyone have the FCO number (it was on the net at the time)? What is the current rev level of LanBridge100 units? (why do I want to know you may well ask -- Yet another local issue with DEC FS in Australia!) Thanks for any help - please mail responses direct to me. Geoff Huston gih900@csc.anu.oz.au
