Has anyone gotten BYU's "econfig" program to successfully work with Novell shells or servers using Western Digital's Novell drivers? I have both a WD8003E and an ET/A and can't get them to work in either servers or workstations after econfig-ing to use Ethernet rather than 802.3. For the microchannel server I was able to bring up a 3C523 and econfig it with no problems, and for the workstation the Packet Driver works fine in place of the econfig'ed WD driver. Is there another driver around that works with the WD8003ET/A in a microchannel machine? Is there a list of cards/drivers for which econfig is known to work? -- David Lassner, University of Hawaii Computing Center INTERNET: david@uhccux.uhcc.hawaii.edu BITNET: david@uhccux Voice: 808/948-7351 FAX: 808/946-5848

You probably need a later version of the WD drivers. I have V2.11.20 for the workstation shells. The server drivers that came with this version Econfig fine. To get the latest drivers contact WD or download them from Compuserve via the Novell forum data library NOVSOFT. Tim. -- Tim Lange. Purdue U. Computing Center/MATH Bldg./W.
