Apologies if this product was covered in the discussion of network analyzing
tools. If it has could someone please send me a summary? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone used the CABLE SCANNER from Microtest Inc. in Phoenix, AZ?
It claims to be able to work on ethernet, ARCnet, StarLAN, token ring, etc..
It says that the scanner will detect faults in the cabling(eg shorts),
measure cable lengths, real time monitoring of communication activity,
and several other features. It can output info via an RS-232 port and
costs about $1500. Please reply directly and I will post if there is
enough interest. Thank you.
