DEC sells a software package called Remote Bridge Management Software (RBMS), which claims to allow you to do some slick things with LAN Bridge 100s - like collect stats and manipulate address filtering. The problem is that it seems to only be available for DEC hosts with DEC Ethernet boards, which we don't have. My questions: 1) What protocol does this use and is it based on IP or some DECnet equivalent? 2) Is it documented anywhere? 3) Is any software available to perform these Bridge Mgmt. functions, which runs on another CPU type (e.g. PC or Sun)?
