I too have looked for such a beast and have a couple of spots on campus where this would be a bonus. The one hardware beast I have run accross is the LANPORT from Microtest. They have both thick and thin options and come in 1 serial, 1 parallel or 2 serial boxes. They also have a LattisNet version, but I have not asked them about a 10baseT version. Currently the only software that will drive them is based on NetWare. They were talking about a TCP/IP version of their drivers, but I do not expect to see anything until 2Q next year. I have not tried their products, but I did see in action at Networld and was happy to see them pushing a plotter from their Novell server through the BNC/Serial box. Here is some pricing information. All prices listed being list: Part# Price Model 3670-00 495 AUI to LPT1 3670-01 495 AUI to COM1 3670-02 595 AUI to COM1/COM2 3671-00 595 BNC to LPT1 3671-01 595 BNC to COM1 3671-02 695 BNC to COM1/COM2 3672-00 595 LattisNet to LPT1 3672-01 595 LattisNet to COM1 3672-02 695 LattisNet to COM1/COM2 They also have some software that can be used either for printer/plotter use or bidirectional modems.
