I posted this question to the net about a year ago and got no response so I thought I'd try again. Does anyone know the current status of Ambrosia? They haven't put out anything in about 3 years. Does anyone know if they're still together? They're from the LA/San Diego area. Anyone down there know if they're playing any local clubs? The last I heard was that guitarist David Pack was working on a solo album. That was 2 years ago. Are there any other Ambrosia fans on the net? I think its a shame they never got the recognition they deserve. Aside from a few monster hits on AM nobody seems to have really heard of them. Most people think of them as a mellow band because thats what their hits were. They were not just mellow! They got very progressive at times. Thats why I got into their music. Believe it or not I got into Kate Bush's music because her production reminded of Ambrosia! Any lovers of progressive Rock owe it to themselves to give a listen to Ambrosia, especially their first two albums, "Ambrosia" and "Somewhere I've Never Travelled." On a side note, I'm glad to see the talk recently of Utopia. They're another one of my favorite bands. They put on a fantastic show when they played here in Concord Calif back in June or July. Both POV and Oblivion (their last 2 albums) were their best in years in my opinion. I'm sure they'll stay together for a while longer. Todd is about the most prolific songwriter. In order to get all his musical ideas down on acetate he needs at least 2 record deals! Barry Nesmith
