I received many responses, and thanks to all who replied. The answers
fell into two catagories: remote file access (FTP) and remote interactive
access.

On the remote file access, I was directed to Racal-Interlans gateway
product to allow ftp into my server. We looked at this a long time
ago and opted not to use it, since our pcs are directly on the ethernet.

I was also directed to checkout the packet driver / NCSA Telnet and FTP
server solution to allow ftp into my clients. This is the solution that
I presently use, and its fine for file access.

I also received information that I am pursueing for interactive access.
Novell makes a package called the Netware Access Server. You set up
a 386 and plug some multiport serial cards into it and plug it into
the network. From the serial ports, you can use a vt100 or another
PC or a Mac and run server programs on the 386. Sounds neat, so I have
information on the way.

Thanks again to all who replied. My users will be quite pleased if we can
get this set up to allow interactive access to the netware from a serial port.

Note: That serial port will have to be connected to a terminal server
and telnetted to, due to AT&T security specs. I cannot attach modems
to that 386. If you have any other ideas that will survive this constraint,
send them on....

If anyone is interested in hearing the ongoings of this program, send me
mail. That will give me a measure if I should continue further followups
or leave all of you nice people alone.
