[comp.dcom.lans] How do I communicate -- BSD ether <--> IBM PC DOS ??

staylor@snidely.UUCP (Scott Taylor) (01/21/90)

I wish to put an IBM-PC DOS machine onto our local unix ethernet for
file transfers and the like. What are the best hardware/software
possibilities for this these days? Are software packages for the
typical rlogin/rcp available? What about PC-DOS to Unix NFS?

This subject is probably on some other minds, so I shall post
a summary of information received.

We use SUN's PC-NFS and are relatively happy with the package ... the only
complaint I have is with the vt100 emulation that it provides.
