Dear netlanders, I have just installed Netware and I seem to run in some problems. The configuration where we talking about is based on a file server with a TCP/IP gateway to lan-11 and an other ethernet card talking IPX with a different network address. The different protocols do not seem to bite one another. The configuration looks like this: ======T============ 134.221.130.xxx | TCP/IP +--------------+ | +--+ X-window tty |134.221.96.100 | | +--------------+ | +-----------+-----+--------------+------+-----134.221.96.xxx | | TCP|IP |IPX network: | lan-11 +-+-------+-+ +-+-----+-+ (134.221.16.0) |IPX | | | | +----+----+ | SPARC | | Novell | | WS | | | | server | +----+----+ +-----------+ +---------+ configured with 134.221.96.1 134.221.96.25 network address 134.221.16.0 There is no problem with routing to a host on backbone with the command: route add <hostname> sparc 1 But when I try to route the complete network with the command: route add net 134.221.130.0 sparc 1 The command: route show give me the following output: GATEWAY ADDRESS NET/HOST ADDRESS ROUTE TYPE --------------- ---------------- ---------- 134.221.96.1 255.130.0.0 NETWORK 127.0.0.1 127.0.0.0 NETWORK 134.221.96.25 134.221.96.0 NETWORK Somebody familiar with this problem? (bug?) Is there a Novell expert who can tell me what this error message means: ETS: Ran out of ddms Please mail the answers directly to me. -- Johan Taal : TNO - IBBC INTERNET : jt@tnoibbc : PO-box 49 DOMAIN : jt@ibbc.tno.nl : 2600 AA Delft FAX : +31 15 843990 : the Netherlands VOICE : +31 15 842030
