I have some semi-technical management types (they used to be techies
many moons ago) who want to learn more about Fiber Optics. They want
to know about FO basics (what the hell is "modal dispersion" would be
a question they would ask) as well as Telcomm and data applications.
I was recently asked to provide some info for them and could not think
of anything to point them at. When they asked me where I learned
about it I couldn't really answer with anything better than "doesn't
everyone just *know* about this sort of stuff?" Guess I learned most
what I know from seminars, product glossies, etc. These guys want
articles/books they can read.
I would really appreciate it if anyone can point out any
articles/books that might be helpful.
