What we have started to do here at the University of Illinois
is to choose network numbers that are the same as the IP
number assigned to that network. Thus our network numbers
end up looking 80AE1201 for our 128.174.18.0 network.
Since we already take pains to keep our IP networks uniquely
numbered we cut down on the the book keeping we need to do
to keep things straight as we turn on IPX routing between
buildings.
