It apparently is valid to have an ethernet segment consisting of a mix
of thick and thin (RG59C/U) cabling. Correct?
Consider this:
|==========---------------=========|
a b c d e
a,e = terminators
b = 545 feet (~1/3 allowable lenght) of thick coax cable
c = 200 feet (~1/3 allowable lenght) of thin coax cable
d = maximum lenght of 1/3 allowable thick lenght, which equals 545 feet.
Is the the correct process for determining allowable lenghts?
thanks for any input
