Greetings, I have a quick NetWare question. Is it possible to change the default file creation attribute from Nonshareable Read/Write to Shareable Read/Write. Whenever I set up a new server I first copy the needed files, but then I need to write a batch file to flag all of the files in each of the directories of our application to change the status to "Shareable". Am I missing something or being stupid? I would like to have all of "normal" (nonsystem) files come up as shareable and let the application program handle the file shareing. BTW, I am using Advanced NetWare 2.15 if that makes any difference. Thanks in advance. gary -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ | Gary Manning QMA Inc. |"A mind is a terrible thing!" | | csusac!utgard!pyrgard!gary |All comments are mine...Blah Blah Blah| ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The ncopy command has a parameter which preservers file attributes when copying: ncopy /p - Gary Chapman, New York University, Academic Computing Facility
