Some general information for those of you interested in NetWare and Un*x. NCR has recently started shipping NCR TOWER NetWare. This product is NCR's version of Novell's Portable NetWare. It runs on the NCR TOWER 4x0, 6x0, 300, 500, and 700 systems. These are Motorola-based Un*x platforms. NCR's NetWare can be combined with TCP/IP and NFS on the same platform, allowingfor wide-area connectivity. DOS PC users have access to Un*x applications and the TOWER's communication products through the use of terminal emulation.
